Man Utd chief Ed Woodward is interested in two transfers – but dithering over a third | Football | Sport
Manchester United have already signed one star in the form of Daniel James, who arrived from Swansea earlier this month.
The club are also understood to be on the verge of announcing a deal for Crystal Palace powerhouse Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
But the Manchester Evening News say United are interested in Sean Longstaff and Bruno Fernandes.
Longstaff has been tipped to move after impressing for Newcastle last season.
Fernandes, meanwhile, hit a staggering 31 goals from the middle of the park for Sporting Lisbon over in his homeland.
He also played a key role as Portugal won the Nations League, beating Switzerland and Holland on their way to the final.
The MEN say, though, that some dithering over a centre-back is taking place at Old Trafford.
The report fails to elaborate but it appears United are torn as to whether to invest in that area this summer.
Several of their transfer targets, however, will not come cheap.
United have struggled with centre-backs ever since the departures of club legends Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic.
Louis van Gaal forked out on Marcos Rojo but the Argentina international has struggled during his five years at the club.
But, a bright start aside, the Ivory Coast international has been regularly plagued with issues since his arrival.
Victor Lindelof has shown signs of coming good for United, though, impressing amid their struggles last season.
