Neymar preparing to go on strike at PSG to force through move to Barcelona | Football | Sport

The Brazilian forward is reportedly determined to move back to Barcelona, the club he left for PSG in 2017 for a world record £198million.

According to Spanish publication Sport, Neymar has already made up his mind about where his future lies.

He has made it clear to PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi that he wants to leave the Parc des Princes and that nothing can change his mind.

Neymar believes he made a mistake leaving Barcelona in the first place and the report claims he came to this realisation just weeks after moving to France.

The forward’s unhappiness has increased during his time at the club and there are supposedly several reason why he wants to leave.

It is claimed that he has divided the dressing room over these issues which include his on-pitch row with Edison Cavan over penalty-taking duties, the quality of the league, his injury record and a lack of protection from referees.

Neymar has “never felt at ease” in Paris and views the Parisians as “a small club” when compared with Barcelona.

Recently, the 27-year-old supposedly told Al-Khelaifi: “I want to go back to my house” in reference to a Barcelona return.

The Catalonian giants were expected to finalise a long-awaited deal for Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann this summer.

However, the ongoing situation with Neymar has led them to switch their focus onto their former star.

It is believed that Lionel Messi still retains a strong relationship with his ex-teammate and the Argentinian holds major influence over Barcelona’s transfer policy.

Neymar spent four years alongside Messi and Luis Suarez and the three struck an incredible 105 goals in 186 games, winning two La Liga titles and a Champions League.

Al-Khelaifi recently gave a damning interview to France Football magazine where it is believed he was referring to the behaviour of Neymar.

“I want players that are ready to give everything to defend the honour of our shirt and who sign up to the club’s project,” Al-Khelaifi told the publication.

“Those who do not want to, or do not understand it, we meet and we speak. There are of course contracts to respect, but the priority now is complete commitment to our project.

“Nobody forced him to sign here. Nobody pushed him to. He came with a fully understanding of the cause to sign up to a project.”
