Lyon president confirms Tanguy Ndombele bids amid Manchester United and Man City transfer links
Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas says the club have received bids for in-demand midfielder Tanguy Ndombele, as speculation over his future grows.
City are looking for a long-term replacement for Fernandinho in defensive midfield, with a move for Atletico Madrid’s Rodri reportedly close to being completed.
United, meanwhile, have been linked with Ndombele as they look to reinforce a weak midfield, and fans were excited by his potential when he performed well alongside Paul Pogba on international duty this month.
Now Aulas has spoken about the future of Ndombele, admitting he does not expect the player to remain at Lyon next season, but no offer received so far has been acceptable.
He told L’Equipe: “Nothing is decided for Tanguy Ndombele. We have lots of offers but they do not come up to the price we feel is right.”
Aulas also said the club are open to selling Nabil Fekir, with United tentatively linked with the long-time Liverpool target.
“His [Fekir] preference is shifting towards a move,” Aulas continued. “We are open to discussions.
“I have no news. We are waiting for offers in the coming days but for now, there is nothing.”
