Confirmed: West Bromwich Albion have completed this signing
West Bromwich Albion have completed the signing of young forward Owen Windsor.
The 17-year-old burst onto the scene last season for Southern League Division One side Cirencester Town, where in seven league starts, Windsor netted six times.
Windsor , who turns 18 in September, has previously been on the books at Swindon Town and Premier League outfit Southampton.
He was a scholar at Hartpury, leading the college to an Under-18s national championship in 2018/19.
Hartpury’s football academy manager Paul Tassell said:
“Owen has a lot of potential and if he works hard, he has great ability to create and score goals.
“He came to us turning down scholarships at other professional clubs due to the full-time football here combined with outstanding education.
“We hope he is another one we can add to the 30+ who have signed professionally from our programmes.”
Windsor will step up six levels, should he turn out for the Baggies next season.

The striker has signed a three year deal for Albion , keeping him at the club until 2022 at the earliest.
A number of clubs have been linked with the prospect, with Chelsea one of the sides credited with an interest.
This is a deal that has been in the offing for a couple of weeks as club and player have negotiated a deal best for both parties.
