West Brom star offered second transfer route back to the Premier League – reports
West Bromwich Abion defender Craig Dawson is set to be offered another route back to the Premier League after Watford reportedly joined the race to sign him.
The Sun reports that the beaten FA Cup finalists have identified Dawson as a target as they look to add an experienced British defender to their ranks.
Burnley are also sniffing around the 29-year-old after Albion’s failure to win promotion back to the Premier League at the first attempt.
Clarets boss Sean Dyche has long been an admirer of Dawson and has been linked with a £15m bid to take him to Turf Moor but will now face competition.
Dawson made 45 appearances last season but some of Albion’s key players face an uncertain summer despite Slaven Bilic’s appointment as manager.
The report adds that the former Rochdale centre-back has changed his agent recently, fuelling talk that a top-flight transfer could be forthcoming.

Meanwhile, former Baggies loanee Jefferson Montero has been linked with a move to Mexico.
The Swansea City winger did OK in the first half of the campaign before injuries kept him out of Graham Potter’s plans.
The veteran then moved to The Hawthorns on loan at the end of the January transfer window and responded with just one Championship start and little more than two hours of football.
All in all it was not a vintage campaign from the Venezuelan.
However, if reports emanating from Mexico are to be believed that hasn’t put off Deportivo Toluca.
Website Superlider cites a story in newspaper RECORD stating the top flight side are interested in the 29-year-old.
Montero has already had two spells in Mexican football, the first with Dorados de Sinaloa in 2008 and the second in 2012 when he returned to Liga MX with Monarcas Morelia, with whom he also won the MX Cup.
Montero has one year left on his contract with Swansea.
