Arsenal to make offer for Brazilian starlet: Fans hopeful ’He is incredible’
Attacking midfielder Reinier is captain of the Brazil Under-17 side and plays for Flamengo.
It’s believed he has a release clause in his contract worth £60million.
“I’m heavily inspired by [Zinedine] Zidane,” Reinier recently said. “I’ve watched a lot of videos on the internet of him playing.
“I’m always trying to execute plays like he did.”
But Arsenal fans are hopeful of getting a deal done.
One wrote: “Around £25m I would say, he is incredible and going by the prices of Vinicius and Rodrygo, that would be the price.”
Another added: “Edu signing definitely. All behind signing young Brazilians.”
A third Gunners supporter wrote: “Seen a few clips. Way better than Ozil. We need some flair/speed into our attack. Sign him up.”
Another took a sly dig at Chelsea, adding: “The best Carvalho to ever play in London”
Emery is expected to be on a limited budget for this summer as Arsenal look to save money.
But the Spaniard recently admitted he needs to spend if he wants to improve the squad.
He said: ”I think we can improve first, by spending money to achieve players.
“In the past the club have done great work in watching players, finding and signing young players and developing our players in the academy.
“I have big respect for our work, for our players in the academy.
“I want to develop the players here—giving them progress to achieve something at a big club like we are.
“We can also achieve [buy] some players who are in other teams, who can come here and give us this performance—like [Virgil] Van Dijk with Liverpool.”
