Man Utd reveal the price Real Madrid will have to pay to seal Paul Pogba transfer | Football | Sport

Los Blancos are leading the race to sign the World Cup winner who could leave Old Trafford.

But United will not sell on the cheap.

The Mirror claim Pogba will only be allowed to exit if an offer of £150m is made for the 26-year-old.

Manchester United fans grew frustrated with the talented midfielder last season because of his inconsistent displays.

Pogba netted 16 times and provided 11 assists in 47 appearances but was often found wanting in games against rivals.

United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is set to overhaul his side this summer with the future of the Frenchman uncertain.

The reports say Real Madrid are ready to launch a £135m bid for Pogba.

But United will hold out for £150m to allow the midfielder to make his dream move to the Bernabeu.

Real Madrid are overhauling their side this summer after a disappointing campaign and have already completed the signing of Eden Hazard for an initial £89m.

United can demand a huge fee for Pogba though as he is under contract until 2021 and the Red Devils have an option to extend that by a further 12 months.

Pogba has opened up on his relationship with United boss Solskjaer in recent days.

“People call him baby-faced but now he’s just a happy person,” Pogba told The Times.

“He smiles all the time and brings smiles to people. He’s really nice.

“I had the chance to be with him a few times in the reserves so I know him for a long time and I have a very good relationship with him.”

“Once when I was at Juventus we saw each other. He’s a very nice guy and a very good person.

“He’s really nice with the players and very close with the players as well.”

Pogba’s stats certainly hold up as he as created more chances and provided a greater amount of assist than any United player since 2016.

And Romelu Lukaku is the only player to have score more than him in the same time period.

But fans are unconvinced by Pogba and should United’s valuation be met he could be sold to Real Madrid this summer.
