Man City ‘looking at’ Tottenham striker Harry Kane as Sergio Aguero replacement
That’s the stunning claim made by former City defender Danny Mills.
Pep Guardiola’s side enjoyed another remarkable campaign, seeing off the challenge of Liverpool to land their second consecutive Premier League title.
Aguero was on top form once again, scoring 32 times in all competitions.
The Argentine turned 31 last week and despite his continued good form, City may be thinking about the long-term future.
And Mills is convinced Guardiola will have his eye on Spurs star Kane.
“It’s very difficult when big clubs come knocking,” he told Football Insider.
“If somebody comes to you and says, ‘I will give you three times as much money to play football for us’, it is very difficult to not at least think about it.”
The transfer claim comes amid news that:
“You can be certain they will be looking at him.”

“It could be a club who are challenging for trophies,” Mills continued.
“If you are in Kane’s situation, Manchester City are going to need a replacement for Sergio Aguero soon and you can be certain they will be looking at him.
“These Spurs players are at the level where they have the choice of which club they want to play for.
“There are options open to them.”
Kane endured an injury-hit campaign and suffered double end of season heartbreak after rushing back to fitness.
Spurs were beaten by Liverpool in the Champions League and Kane was part of the England side that lost to the Netherlands in the Nations League semi-final this week.
The 25-year-old has expressed no desire to quit his boyhood club.
