Man City ‘bid for Liverpool FC target’ Nabil Fekir and more transfer rumours
Man City have ‘bid’ for Lyon‘s creative midfielder Nabil Fekir, according to the latest transfer gossip.
Pep Guardiola looks set to strengthen his incredible City squad even further this summer in order to finally win the elusive Champions League trophy and has already been linked with a host of creative midfielders.
Portuguese pair Bruno Fernandes and Joao Felix as well as Juventus star Paulo Dybala and Real Betis’ Giovani Lo Celso have all been linked with a move to the Etihad in recent weeks and Fekir is the latest.
The Frenchman appeared to be set to move to City’s Premier League rivals Liverpool last summer but the deal fell through and now with just a year left on his contract he may now leave Lyon.
It’s reported that Fekir would ‘never say no’ to joining his fellow countryman Zinedine Zidane at Madrid.
Meanwhile, creative players don’t appear to be the only aspect of the midfield that City are interested in strengthening this summer as they’ve been linked with plenty of defensive midfielders as well.
City are said to be looking for competition and eventual successor to the ageing Fernandinho and the 22-year-old appears to fit the bill.
However, it’s reported that Atleti are hesitant to lose the midfielder as they are already set to see Antoine Griezmann, Lucas Hernandez, Diego Godin, Juanfran and Filipe Luis leave this summer.
It’s claimed that this will be a ‘decisive week’ in the transfer as Atletico have offered Rodri a new contract with more pay and a higher release clause to keep him at the club.
