Shocking FA hypocrisy as City face no punishment for chant, when Wilshere got £40k fine

The FA have announced that Manchester City will not face any punishment for their players being filmed singing a sick version of our ‘Allez Allez Allez’ chant which has appeared on Etihad terraces this season.

The lyrics include a reference to Liverpool as ‘victims’ and our fans being ‘battered in the street’; but this morning City released a statement declaring that these words had no link to Hillsbrough or Sean Cox, the Red who was left in a coma after AS Roma fans beat him up outside Anfield last season.

In 2015, Jack Wilshere sang a song that referred to Arsenal’s rivals Tottenham as ‘shit,’ and was fined £40k for it.

Yet City’s players singing a song that literally lauds their captain Vincent Kompany injuring Mo Salah – as well as violence towards our fans – is deemed acceptable by the powers that be.

Honestly, we’d like to just leave this one and put it to bed, but it’s farcical.

We’re just glad we’ve got a Champions League Final to look forward to while City’s players are unlikely to be allowed to even play in it next year.
