Man City player ratings vs Spurs: Raheem Sterling super and Aymeric Laporte woeful – Stuart Brennan
Should have done better with the Spurs equaliser but redeemed himself with a bold headed clearance and a save from Llorente 6.
His defending early on was too frantic but once City were on the front foot he was back in his comfort zone 7.
Took charge after that mad early ten minutes and was an absolute rock, getting his head or foot to just about everything 8.
Such a shame, after the season he has had, that his errors handed Spurs the early initiative – ad it affected his game 4.
Ranging down the left or joining the midfield pack, he was a telling presence – just his defending that was not always great 7.
Kevin De Bruyne
The cross for Sterling and the run and pass for Aguero were out of th top drawer. Drove City forward time and time again 9.
Lack of defensive credentials showed but his pass for De Bruyne sparked the fourth goal and he was quality in the other half 8.
Others were more prominent, but he still brought his class and experience to bear at crucial moments of this game 7.
A box of magic tricks, giving Rose all kinds of problems and deserving the luck which brought his goal 8.
Some excellent approach work, not least for Bernardo goal, and when he finally worked an opening for himself the run and finish were elctric 8.
Two early goals lit the Blue touchpaper and he was consistently giving he defence plenty to think about. Super display 8.
(for D. Silva 63) great tackle 6.
(for Mendy 84) too late
