Gareth Bale agent issues statement on Real Madrid future amid ‘Premier League interest’
Gareth Bale is not thinking about a return to the Premier League, according to his agent Jonathan Barnett.
The 29-year-old, who fell out of favour with Zidane before the former midfielder left the club last May, has scored 14 goals in 38 appearances for Madrid this season in a campaign plagued by ankle and calf problems.
“He is very happy here,” Barnett said, when asked about his client’s future in Spain. “He is a Real Madrid player and right now he is not thinking about a return to England.
“I can’t predict the future. But for now he is happy.”

Bale played 77 minutes in Madrid’s 2-1 win against Eibar in La Liga on Saturday and received boos and jeers from the home crowd; not for the first time.
Zidane was asked about the winger’s future at the club following the game and was coy in his response.
“We will see,” the French coach said.
“Gareth is a Real Madrid player with two years left on his contract.
“We’re not happy about the whistles, but the public comes to see their team do well.
“There was a reaction and I’m left with that, the public knows that the season is over, that we play to try and finish second.”
