Manchester United fans send Ed Woodward Gareth Bale transfer message
Bale suffered from a fractured relationship with Zidane during his first spell in charge of Real Madrid and reports earlier this week suggested the Wales international might seek to leave the club as a result of the managerial change.
However, it does not seem like United fans are too keen on the prospect of him moving to Old Trafford should he leave in the coming months.
MEN Sport ran a poll on Tuesday afternoon which surveyed supporters regarding a potential transfer for Bale.
4,206 fans voted in the poll with a massive 71 per cent of them replying to indicate they would not be interested in a deal to sign the Welsh winger.
The majority of fans acknowledged the need for a new winger with 53 per cent voting instead in favour of signing a different player instead, while 18 per cent urged the club to give youth a chance instead.
25 per cent of supporters voted in favour of a deal if it was for a bargain fee, while only four per cent believed that Bale should be signed ‘whatever the price’.
Replying to the survey one supporter replied: “Nope. Injury prone. Even he cost us much cheaper, prefer Malcom or Douglas Costa for inverted winger.”
Another added: “Bale has been injury prone for over 3 years now, it’s not something new, I didn’t want him back then when United first wanted him and I still don’t want him now.”
