This Is Reason Behind Paul Pogba’s Form – Alan Pardew
Former West Ham and Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew believes Paul Pogba has benefited greatly from the change in style and tactics Manchester United have adopted under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Pogba has scored eight goals and provided five assists in nine Premier League appearances under Solskjaer and Pardew feels it has a lot to do with the change in style at Old Trafford.
The former Newcastle boss believes admits Pogba has been playing much higher up the pitch in recent games and the position of the wingers and the other midfielders has also helped him to flourish.
Pardew told French sports daily L’Equipe: “He’s playing much higher up the pitch than when he was under Mourinho.
“And he’s benefitting from the fact that the winger are now much more attacking and [Nemanja] Matic and [Ander] Herrera are doing enormous work to cover him.”
The 57-year-old also believes Pogba is a talismanic figure for Manchester United and is a huge figure at Old Trafford.
