Man Utd fans cheered one player louder than others before PSG Champions League clash | Football | Sport
United line up with Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard flanking Marcus Rashford.
And Paul Pogba will pull the strings in the middle of the park, alongside Nemanja Matic and Ander Herrera.
United read their team out on the tannoy prior to tonight’s European showdown with PSG.
And it was Rashford who got the loudest cheer of all.
As the chant goes, the 21-year-old is ‘Manc born and red’ – which may explain why fans are so happy he is starting tonight’s game.
Rashford has been simply sensational for United since Solskjaer‘s appointment as manager back in December.
And hopes are high that the United prodigy will hold the key to unlocking PSG’s defence this evening.
Meanwhile, European football expert Lothar Matthaus has claimed Rashford must start up top in ALL of United’s big games this season.
“I couldn’t understand why he was not playing more under Jose Mourinho.
“In the World Cup, Mbappe drove defences crazy, but PSG need him now, in the matches that really matter.
“He has to prove himself the leader, especially with Neymar missing.”
United face a PSG team lacking their two best players, with Neymar and Edinson Cavani injured.
