Gary Neville makes Manchester United Champions League claim
Speaking to Bein Sport ahead of the game, the ex-United defender made the point that Solskjaer‘s side need to concentrate on sealing a place in the top four in the Premier League this season rather than trying to win the Champions League.
“This feels tonight as a bit of a free hit as there is no pressure on them.
“The big thing for Man United is finishing in the top four and potentially winning the FA Cup would be an incredible achievement.
“I don’t think they are good enough to win the Champions League irrespective of what has happened in the last few weeks.
“I think if they could beat PSG that would be an incredible performance but if they face some of the top teams in the competition such as Barcelona or Juventus or Liverpool or City I think they struggle when they get to those sort of matches.
“So from that point of view it is a bit of a free hit for Ole.
“This is one of the biggest games that Manchester United have had in the last few season and it feels like being around the city today these fans want this, they are desperate for it but they know they are not quite ready.
“The priority is to make the top four and the Champions League can wait for a year or two. “
