Bielsa admits to sending staff member to spy on opposition training session
Premier League The Argentine took responsibility
Officers from the Derbyshire Constabulary were called to Derby’s training centre on Thursday after a man was spotted spying on the team’s preparations.
The enigmatic Argentine, ahead of Friday’s clash between the two teams, admitted that he was behind the move.
“It’s me who is responsible for that person, it does not matter if I think this is legal, illegal, right or wrong,” Bielsa told Sky Sports.
“t’s enough for me that (Derby manager) Lampard and Derby County have been upset to understand that I did not act correctly,” he conceded.
“Yesterday I spoke with Lampard and he let me know that I had transgressed fair play. I think differently, but what matters is what he and Derby County think,” Bielsa stated.
Leeds went on to win the match 2-0 on Friday, which moves them five points clear at the top of the English Championship.
