This is what happened when Tammy Abraham stepped off the Aston Villa bus at Wigan
This was the reaction from Aston Villa fans as Tammy Abraham got off the team bus at Wigan Athletic.
Supporters gathered outside the DW Arena to welcome the players off the coach ahead of the Championship clash.
And the biggest cheer was reserved for Abraham after the Chelsea loan striker pledged to stay at Villa for the season.
Wolverhampton Wanderers were hoping to tempt Abraham to Molineux by taking him on loan for the rest of the campaign.
But the 21-year-old frontman has decided to honour his season-long deal with Villa and returned to the starting line-up for this afternoon’s match against Paul Cook’s Latics.
Abraham was left out of last weekend’s FA Cup defeat to his former loan club Swansea City at the request of parent club Chelsea.
Going into today’s game Abraham had hit 16 goals in 20 appearances for Villa to fire him to the top of the Championship scoring charts.
Fans are, understandably, delighted he is staying at Villa, for the next four months at least, and serenaded him with chants of ‘Oh Tammy Tammy, Tammy, Tammy, Tammy, Tammy, Abraham’ during the pre-match warm up.

Jonathan Kodjia has missed Aston Villa’s trip to Wigan Athletic due to a ‘knock’.
The striker was a shock exclusion from Villa’s squad for today’s match against Wigan and the club says his absence is due to a small injury sustained in training.
He has scored six times in 27 appearances for Villa this season.
