Antonio Valencia ‘set to leave Manchester United this summer’
Inter reportedly want to sign the 33-year-old during the January transfer window but United don’t want to weaken Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s squad without bringing in a replacement.
The winger-turned-defender liked an Instagram post calling for Mourinho‘s sacking at the start of October and didn’t play again for the Portuguese until late November.
His only appearance under Solskjaer came in the 2-0 win over Newcastle on January 2.
Ander Herrera, Juan Mata, Phil Jones, Matteo Darmian, Andreas Pereira and Ashley Young are all also out of contract at the end of the season.
United have the option to extend Darmian’s deal by a further year, while the club and Pereira both need to agree to a 12-month extension for the Brazilian to remain at the club.
United have opened talks with Herrera, Mata and Young over extensions, but Jones’ future looks far less certain, with the club yet to begin discussions over a new deal for the England defender.
