Leeds United Employee Spoken To Outside Derby County Training Ground

Derby County have confirmed that they caught a Leeds United employee acting suspiciously outside their training ground on Thursday.

Leeds and Derby are set to face off in a highly charged Championship game at Elland Road tonight, with a lot riding on it for both teams, who are vying for promotion to the Premier League.

It emerged that on Thursday morning Frank Lampard stopped training of his squad in the early session after Derby spotted a certain individual acting suspiciously outside their premises.

Derby have confirmed that they took the help of the police, who spoke to an individual who is an employee of Leeds‘ football staff.

There are suggestions that the person was spying on Derby’s training ground routine on behalf of Leeds ahead of their big game tonight at Elland Road.

A statement on the club’s official website read: “Derby County Football Club can confirm that officers from the Derbyshire Constabulary were called to the Derby County Training Centre at around 11:20 am on Thursday 10th January 2019 following reports of a man acting suspiciously outside the premises.

“It has since been confirmed to Derby County that the individual concerned is an employee of the footballing staff at Leeds United Football Club.

“The club is now in discussion with Leeds United club officials in relation to this incident.

“At this time no further comment will be made.”

Leeds are looking to bounce back three straight defeats on the bounce as they look to regain their form in the Championship.
